Hi Guys
We will post an update as soon as we have received these new 910XT's in stock.
So far we are looking at late 2011 or early next year.
Maybe we will get them in time for Christmas, but at the moment it is hard to say.

Hi, I bought a Forerunner 405 with the idea that I will be able to use it for triathlons, (salesmen word). When I started using it I read in the manual that it can be dangerouse to swim with the watch as it might "can cause a short in the unit". Is this for all swimming? I tried a open water swim with the device and showed I did 2km in stead of 600m so I assumed someting is wrong. Wondered if you could help.

We have been told April. So it could arrive just before or just after.
I dont want to get into details about the delay as there are many different theories.
We will keep you posted and let you know as soon as we have received them.

Went for a run at lunch and a swim tonight.
For running, it works great. Customizable displays like any other Garmin. There's a known issue with the live pace moving all over so it's a bit unreliable without the foot pod. I didn't have a 3
10xt but the 910xt vibrates on each lap which is pretty neat. Still have to play around with all the features as there are tons of customizations available.
As for the swim, it's really nice to have something to count laps and time for you. You can choose which swim stroke you're doing and its all based off of accelerometers. Therefore, it's not perfect. A couple of my pool lengths were cut short on the watch because for whatever reason, it thought I turned. But here is what the watch records and uploads when you put it on Garmin Connect, LOTS of data:

If you'll excuse how slow a swimmer I am, here is the link to a swim I did yesterday, you'll see how many metrics it records (detailed stroke analysis, SWOLF score etc.):
