Who is Lewis Hamilton? What bike does he ride?

Jens Voigt once challenged Lance Armstrong to a "who has more testicles" contest. Jens won... by five.

The time of the year again to start doing some training in the week. Is the track still open to cyclists?

Last that I was there, about 2 weeks back, they had moved the 'start' to the old pits. Still 10 bucks a ride, Monday to Thursday, Monday and Wed anticlockwise, Tue and Thu-clockwise.

Sounds like an excellent way to get some training in for the 94.7!

How does it work...
Can you ride anytime from 17:00 until it gets dark?
Where and who do you pay to ride?

Yip, track is open to cyclists 17h00 - 19h00 but its getting dark at about 18h20 at the mo. You pay at the track itself. If you gonna push until late, make sure you got a tail light. I'm not sure if they have reverted back to the new pits but the security at the main entrance will give you directions. You can get into the parking before 17h00 but will only be allowed onto the track at 5.

As far as I know you a MTB'er so do you take the scenic route through the gravel traps? ;)

What is the distance of the track?

What is the cost to get in and ride?

Someone above mentioned a killer hill... what hill? Hills kill me at the moment...

Hi there,

Did you get my PM?

Distance is just over 4km's

Cost is R10.00

Hills kill me as well. I move slowly up and all these guys and gals come flying past  Only way to get better at them is to keep climbing them apparently

At the risk of sounding like a grumpy old man (no offense grumpy) if you read through the thread the phrases "R10" and "4.2km" will become appparent...

The hill is steep but short. Some people smoke it, some people suffer up it and some people walk up it - all ages and skills ride there. However fit you are you will fit in - and suffer :-)
