So today (day 1) saw France take gold in team relay ahead of Switzerland and Italy. South Africa finished in 11th, 3,30 minutes off the pace.

One Saffa in the junior Womens race:
Ashleigh parker-Moffatt finished in 32nd, 14min off a Swiss rider in 1st.

Tomorrow a few more South Africans in Junior men: (106 on start list)so have good starts
Gert Heyns - to start in 11th
Luke Roberts- start in 19th...had a good ride at last WC
Brendon Davids- start in 20th

and U23 women XC: (47 starters)
Mariske Strauss- start in 21st
Candice Neethling-start in 27th

...hope all goes well

Shoe, it must a big step up riding in SA races and then suddenly have to ride in a World Champs. It's kinda like playing in the Varsity Cup and then having to move to the Super 15. Tough.

25th through the start loop back to 9th after lap 1. Awesome. Chase group of four with Burry 54sec off leaders
