Smart money has to be on Kulhavy. Shurter as runner up.
No surprise though - they're 1st and 2nd on the UCI ranking.
3-5 are Absalon, Stander and Hermida.
I'm enjoying Kulhavy's run - not only because he runs a 29er. Pity about the SRAM - imagine how far ahead he's be if he rode Shimano!!!!!

Think Burry might be on some very good form right now and if he has some luck he just might take it this year!!

Sure there are no electric mtb gruppos from Shimano and you have to charge the battery and you have ugly cables all over your bike but the buttons man THE BUTTONS!
What was I saying again? Oh yes - XTR and 2012 XT brakes are awesome. Yeah thats it I think.

Saturday, 3 Sept, 16:30. Be there! Well not in Champery but online - I don't think we'll get it live....anyone in broadcasting know???
I also have a sneaky suspiscion that Burry is sitting on good form - he has a history of peaking at exactly the right time!!

My question is more along the lines of "how much equipment failure will be enough before you make a decision purely on that, to move to another supplier - sponsorship or not?"
Then again, do the "others" also have so many equipment failures?

Was thinking the other day that both radio and SABC definately needs more coverage of cycling, particularly big events like Worlds. Anyone in these fields?
Also thought a show like Top Billing would be perfect to showcase some of these stars like Greg and Burry, and thus give cycling more exposure and show we do have world champs in SA. Anyone able to provide contacts at Top Billing etc?
With SA hosting World MTB champs in 2013 we need to put som good exposure out there...

That is the question. Why only him?

Shimano my ass
FIRST TIMERS. ALL TIMERS. ALL SRAM.
Once again SRAM athletes enjoy a dominating weekend of racing, across all disciplines, all over the World.
At the World Cup Finals in Val di Sole, Italy, Jaroslav Kulhavy (Specialized Factory Racing) takes his 5th win of the season in the men's XC, making it the third perfect season in a row for SRAM XX. No other groupset has won a men's XC World Cup since its introduction.
Myriam Nicole of Commencal Riding Addiction enjoyed her first ever World Cup win in the women's DH, giving RockShox Vivid Air its debut on the top spot of the podium. To round things off, Tomas Slavik (RSP) and Anneke Berteen (Milka Trek) won in the 4X, with Anneke wrapping up the World Cup series in first place.
On the other side of the pond Ross Schnell and Kelli Emmett won the Trestle All-Mountain Enduro in Winter Park, Colorado on their SRAM X0 and RockShox Lyrik equipped rigs. World Cup XC, downhill, 4X or Enduro, SRAM riders rule it all!
There's a feeling I get
When I look to the West
And my spirit is crying for leaving

Fanboy, SRAMophile, marketing junkie, stop sniffing Jaroslav's chamois and you'll not have to sleep with women that look like your mother.
Oh.
This isn't a isn't a Lance thread?
In that case. Personally I'd be just as happy on XX as I would on XTR. Me I like Shimano - I know how to take every piece apart and am fully equipped in the toolbox department to fix it so it makes no sense for me to move to SRAM. If you're into SRAM good for you - just get a new cassette, chain and and brakes - you'll be fine
