4 weeks? I don't drink coffee that is more than a week old. I get mine freshly roasted and as soon as I get home I toss them in the fridge, never last more than 7 days.

IMO freshly roasted coffee should have a little breathing time around 48 hours after roasting before being used, but I haven't tried it as soon as possible after roasting so could be nice too

These days I only buy pods for my Nespresso, but some years ago I attended a coffee cupping in Holland at a trade show, it was hosted by Douwe Egberts and they were quite adamant you could keep their ground coffee in the foil zip lock bag in the freezer for about 4 months with no discernible loss of quality. The coffee never freezes so all you do is just haul it out the freezer, spoon out your requirements and put it back.

I figured as they made a world wide highly acclaimed coffee they should know what they were talking about, and I must say I did this for years, and it worked fine for me, I like  different blends at different times so I usually had three or four packets open at any time and I personally never noticed any deterioration of the coffee, in aroma or taste.

Bought some Melissa's Beans. OK but struggling to get a proper shot from them in the Krupps.
Next up is some from the (I think) Green bean roasting company or African roasting company. Got them from the cycle expo.

Finally got my Grindenstein Knock box as well. Can really recommend it!
