As a fellow cyclist,I know that you enjoy a good cup of coffee. With that in mind I have started a coffee roastery in Lynnwoodglen(Pretoria) and would like to offer all cyclists a taste of what coffee is all about.

I have the following origins:

1)Ethiopian Sidamo - 250gr foil type packet at R45.This coffee makes a great espresso.
2)Colombiann decaf(co2 method)- 250gr foil type packet at R48.Decaf mostly roasted darker to give it some body.
3)Guatemala antigua pulcal - 250gr foil type packet at R48.This is a superb coffee an will appeal to all.

Website will go live soon,in the meantime, order direct with me on 0833058505.

All coffee will be roasted fresh upon order and the roast date will be on the packet.
I will mail coffe anywhere in the country, postage for your account.

Regards,

Gerhard

Gerhard, I'll support you if your roast is dark enough. I want a dark roast with visible oil on the bean. Can do?

so you want a full city roast or full french roast. Both stages seem to have the oil sheen, but man, the taste in flavours are vastly different. The original flavour is killed off and replaced by a roast flavoring, in other words, they taste almost the same no matter which bean from which country you use. meh..

Oi! Dont get technical with me. I don' know which is which. Like Starbucks does is what I like. Woolworths Organic African is also roasted the way I like. I just don't like the cinnamon roast. A couple 'o kays from me is a roastery that refuses to roast the way I like it. I just buy somewhere else. In the house and workshop I go through 5 kilos a month. I want what I want (even when I'm not sure what it is called).

hahaha soz for that, but your roast does have a classification, just not sure which one, cos the latter is nearly coffee flavoured coal :P
Personally I prefer the lighter roasts, so as to maintain the bean's original flavouring as much as possible.
5kg a month?? wow Johan.. that's a lot of coffee!

Hey Mity thanks for providing the correct link, slipped up on that one !
I'm trying to help out with the marketing/social media side of Arabusta where I can.

You can contact Gerhard directly, he roasts from his home in Lynnwood Glen and you can arrange to collect from there.
Sure he can arrange some kind of "Hubber Price" :)

Cheers,
WW.

Definitely ! Arabusta prefers a lighter roast for this reason.  The Sidamo tends toward a nice "bright" cup, with a good acidity but not too sharp.
Made a very nice espresso from it the other day, even with a machine that has a pressurised portafilter.

The Guatemala tends to be more "dark" - nutty, chocolate type flavours that come through.
Seems to be better suited towards French press and espresso based milk drinks, though some will still prefer this flavour for espresso.
