. . . .of which year?

 yup, standing a good chance with Dopadors case still pending.

Cyclenut you are looking at this as if the glass is half full when it is in fact empty. If you said let's look at how far Andy lost, then I couldhve understood. But he did not come "close" to beating anyone in the TT

What are your guys thoughts on Gilberts bike do you think the freehub was not engaging when he put down the power?

And while we at it how was the bar failure on Hagens bike?

Andy spent a lot of time with Fabian helping him,he also spend quite a bit of time in a wind tunnel to set the bike up and his riding possition.

None of that will help when you do everything wrong in your race.
Andy used his small 67kg frame like a boat sail against him.He kept on sitting up and opened his shouldrs up.
Going down the fastest part of the TT he was off his TT bars and he kept braking in the corners. He also took the wrong lines in a few corners.
His hands were open on the TT bars and he was scooping air.
When seconds count those are big mistakes.
Untill he learns to TT he won't win......and i am sad to say that as he is a very good rider.

Good points Gummi
If they did not do a TT yesterday and scientist came along and hooked Cadel & Andy up to fancy machines, Cadel would've still kicked ass if the outcome was based on determination & willpower to win. Everything about Cadel said "I am riding to win this dammed thing I have almost done so many times, today is my day!"

I think you are saying:
that on this level
and after all things are sifted and level
there aren't many things to add for victory..
besides one generous helping of heart and hunger!

The difference was obvious in the first 200m of leaving the start blocks. Cadel got into a smooth and rythmic cycle while Andy wrestled his bike around the course. Personally I like to see the TdF champ perform on hills and the time time - the master for 2011 is Cadel. Great champions ride.

Andy lost with about 2000m not 200m, so obviously the first 200m was only the beginning of his battle
