Some useless behind the scenes info:

One rider, John Gadret I think, was fined for "peeing in public" during yesterday's stage...

I am sure that happens often.
Its difficult to have a swaz when almost the entire route is lined 6 deep with spectators.

Sometimes, you just gotta pay the 200 Swiss Franks and expose the general public to the horrors of public urination. When you gotta go, you gotta go!

I was surprised that Feillu followed the car for quite long way because rules say, you are not allowed to follow the car for more 2km??? Strange! Maybe rules changed!!

He was tucked in behind the car signalling for it to go faster.
Paul and Phill were wetting their pants about it.

Boonen's directeur sportif left the decision on whether to continue on the rider himself after other riders complained that the Belgian was a danger to the peloton. Horner was allowed to ride to the finish in the presence of the race doctor, but he had no recollection of the crash or how long he had been chasing.

Some teams add honey to the water towards the end of a stage and this creates a sticky mess on the outside of the bottle which when handed to the rider it makes his fingers sticky and as a result when they wipe their noses their noses get sticky and then the snot does not clear their nostril when they do the no hands blow your nose trick, when the race ref see's this on TV they fine the rider, UCI consider that bad for cyclings image.

Actualy its when the riders are handed a bottle from their team car and the rider and person in the car both hold onto it for longer to create a bit of a pull
for the rider
