I tried looking for the dates earlier this week.

I can tell you where you will NOT find it:
Not on CSA's website
Not on PPA's website
Not on Western Province Cycling Ass's website

Your clubs just received this info:

Good afternoon everyone

Well here is a brief overview of what has been arranged for the WP Road and Time Trial Champs for 11 & 12 June 2011:

The venue for the weekend will be the Windmeul Primary School, off the R44 on the way to Wellington.

The Road Champs will take place on Saturday 11 June - starting from 10h00.

Registration will commence that morning from 08h00. I have attached the distances and start times etc to this as well.

The Time Trial Champs will take place on Sunday 12 June - also starting from 10h00. The route for the time trial will be out-and-back along the Voor Paardeberg Road that the Windmeul Primary School is situated on.

Online entries are due to go live from Tuesday 24 May 2011 on www.racetec.co.za - the entry link will be forwarded to everyone once it is up and running. Please note: the closing date for entries is Sunday 5 June 2011. NO late entries will be accepted. The champs are open to all cyclists affiliated to Cycling SA.

Entry fees are: R100.00 for the Road Race, R50.00 for the Time Trial or R120.00 for both events.

For more information, email wpca@pedalpower.org.za

Yours in cycling

Liz

Let's play "Spot a flat piece of road, longer than 50m, anywhere on this TT route".

Hey Sarel, you win! No flat sections there!

Where exactly is the TT route, do you have a gpx file perhaps?

Nope, sorry. The route runs from the school, right to the T-junction with the R302.

Nope - always an 'out-and-back', as in fact stated in the original info given.

I really think that they should look at a different route sometime this century!

start at Klapmuts - Stellenbosch - Helshoogte - Left at Simondium towards Paarl - Left back to Klapmust 4 way stop. Do that loop 4 times

Nice climb plus you have nice rolling hills espcially the ones going to Stellenbosch from Klapmuts! They use to have winter league races on this route...KILLER. The strongest man WILL win.

I want to enter the Champs but I don't want to be the only Cat 3 rider there. Any other F, G, or H riders going to do this event?
I'll wait for you at the top!
