Specialized Slim Shims for 10-Speed 105/Ultegra STI Levers

Hi there,

Does anyone know who might stock these. I'm in the Midrand area.

I'm really hope they help solve my braking issues. My hands are taking strain and I get really nervous going downhill because of it. I can barely get two of my fingers (index and middle) on the levers to brake.

Coming down that Krugersdorp hill I was finished - nerves completely shot

Thanks

fox fork service

Ok calling all tech guru's out there lol. I'm wanting to service my fox f32 fork, have got the oil and everything I need, except for fox float fluid for the foam rings in the dust seals, does one have to use special fluid here or can one use the fork oil to re-lube these? Or is there an alternative one can use?

Thanks for any help

Protective tape - any suggestions?

I'm getting a Carbon Fibre hardtail soon and want to get some clear protective tape to prevent scratches/scuffing in key areas like under the downtube. Anyone have any suggestions on what to get? I remember a discussion some time ago mentioning "helicopter tape" but can't find any references on the "new" hub.

I have some residue from DT Swiss SwissStop brake pads on my front wheels braking surface (carbon). Anybody have some experience how to remove this as normal soap or handy andy does not work. The residue became quite hard from the temperature I think.

Presta vavles

Hi

I'm new to Presta valves and am struggling to get the valve out in order to slime up the tube. (One step at a time, tubless will follow...)

How the flip do I get the vavle out? I tried a long-nose pliers but it felt like I was going to strip the valve and ruin the tube.

Any Operating Experience?

Vitality Points & Polar - while using Garmin?

I would like to upload my Garmin workouts to the www.polarpersonaltrainer.com website in order to earn Vitality Points.

I have registered on the polar website and added my Discovery details as partner.

Now, how do I get to upload my workouts into this site?

When using SportTracks there is a plugin that can be used to convert the garmin (.tcx or .gpx or .fit) files to polar (.hrm) files.

Polar seems to use Weblink or WebSync to upload files to the website. But in neither of these programs I can find a way to point the program to a location where my files are stored... like a browse button. These programs are looking for the polar devices, which I don't have.

Is there another program that must be used like the Training Centre sofware for Garmin.
Must be a sclep using Infra Red with these devices anyway...

Industry 9 wheels

Hi all,

I'm hoping someone has an idea as to where I can find some Industry 9 specific sopkes. I have an Industry 9 Ultralite 26" wheelset in red, and over the weekend pulled the chain over the cluster and stuffed up at least three of the drive side spokes. I've been to my LBS (Broadacres) and Linden cycles as well as Mike's bikes and nobody could help just yet...

In the mean time, I've sent mail to Industry 9 themselves hoping to get some information.

Any help would be appreciated in the mean time.
