Cape Argus Pick N Pay Tricycle And Junior Tour

The Tricycle Tour is aimed at youngsters between the ages of 2 and 6 years who, together with a parent or guardian on foot, get to navigate an easy 1,5km fun ride. The event introduces young children to the very basic elements of cycling safety and etiquette in a safe and controlled environment.
The Junior Tour is ideal for learners between the ages of 6 and 12 years, and they are offered the choice between participating in either a 5km or 10km route. Entries will once again be very limited to ensure maximum enjoyment for all riders.
In support of The Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust’s on-going safe cycling initiative, all riders must wear cycling helmets and the strict “No Helmet No Ride” rule will apply.
Online entries for the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Tricycle and Junior Tour are expected to open on 16 January 2012. Registration will take place between 2 and 9 March 2012 at the Canal Walk Shopping Centre.
Free, secure parking is available in demarcated areas at the venue. Parents are however encouraged to car pool where possible to limit traffic congestion around the event.
