The Cape Outback is a 4-day MTB stage expedition from Stilbay to Stanford (Western Cape, South Africa). The route is known for its diverse and remote setting, rolling fynbos hills, vast protected areas, unusual river crossings and a night/day stage. The expedition is a full service event where riders are catered for with three meals a day, comfortable tented accommodation, complimentary expedition bags and transfer service, medical and technical backup and an awesome expedition vibe in the expedition villages. The Cape Outback is not a "bike-breaker", but requires decent preparation.
The expedition never spends more the one night at an expedition village. It is not an mega event and riders will never encounter long queues. Cape Outback 2012 will be limited to 75 teams of two. Online entries open at 09h00 on 27 May 2011.
