London 2012 Olympic Cyclist Profile: Burry Stander

Burry has focussed on the explosive XCO discipline in 2012, on the advice of his new coach Dr. Jeroen Swart, skipping his usual marathon races early in the year.

“I want to be in the best possible condition I can for the Olympics,” said Burry.

See Burry's full profile below from Cycling South Africa.

2012 South African XCO national champion Burry Stander will tackle the Men’s XCO mountain bike race at Hadleigh Farm in Essex, the course set against the backdrop of the 700-year-old ruin of Hadleigh Castle, on Sunday 12 August.

Indeed... thats why we're already at 14:30, when they are only at 13:30.

Plus, I double-checked the schedule on Supersport website. 14:30 our time.

Oops, brain freeze
Elite women's cross country, starting at 12:30 pm local time (13h30 ZA) on Saturday, August 11 and the elite men's cross country, starting at 1:30 pm local time (14h30 ZA) on Sunday, August 12.
Pretty straight shooting and honest interview after the Olimpics with Darren Scott -worth a listen.
